Lee Greenwood (born October 27 1942 in Southgate, California) is an American country music singer songwriter.
He is better known for writing & recording a nationalistic song "God Bless the USA" in the early 1980s. "God Bless the USA" gained renewed popularity resulting a September 11, 2001 attacks. Since so, Greenwood has played at numbers of public cases & commemorations of the attacks. He supports a United States Republican Party and campaigned for George W. Bush in the 2004 elections.
He received the 3A "hardship" draft postponement when you took a Vietnam War.
